New county solar installations set to go to work
A group of solar arrays now getting their finishing touches will save the county tens of thousands of dollars each year in power bills and reduce carbon dioxide production by millions of pounds annually.
Special Districts Administrator Mark Dellinger said Lake County's group of arrays are believed to be the third-largest public entity solar installation in the western United States. The installation even has the distinction of pushing Internet search engine giant Google's solar installation into fourth place.

Hey, Rick. I just stumbled across this post. Me & my buddy Andrew installed the solar on your pad in Oakland a handful of years ago when we worked at Light Energy Systems. There's a pic of it on my Facebook page. Now I work for Sunpower, as did Andrew for a while, and routinely service the Lake County system in the photo above. My other buddy Dave, who worked with me and Andrew at Light Energy Systems, was the construction manager on the Lake County installs. There are four of them, three up on the North end and one on the South-East end of the lake.
