A 3 day weekend I don't want.



The Pittsburg CA police officer that was shot was a family friend. His family and my family went to Salesian High School in San Pablo.



He was older than me and went to school with my brother, I went to school with Mark.



A Salesian senior class of the time was only about 30 to 40 kids so we all knew each other and their families well. It is not unusual to see my classmates be PD.



I am looking forward to seeing some great old friends but of course not this way.



The funeral is Monday.
