Yo Rick,

For some reason, I Google your name and Alex Benett's every year or so. The way

Live 105 so abruptly shifted styles after Infinity took over irked me so much

that I've been waiting for somebody to offer an insider's view of what actually

happened. I mean, it wasn't like your usual format shift (a la KNAC). It was

more like corporate cancer. As a listener, you could hear the life slowly

draining out of the station even before Alex got booted.

Anyway, now that I've stumbled onto your new site, it's nice to finally have an

answer for what happened. Please supply more info. I know you're not a negative

guy and you probably don't like to dwell on bad memories, but your stories

about the Live 105 and Quake days are just as refreshing now as your stories

about playing O-line for Salesian were when I was listening to you in the

middle of bumper-to-bumper traffic on MLK Blvd.

Anyway, now that I live in NYC, I can't tune in and hear your show on KFOG. I'm

glad you're doing well, though.

Sam

-------------

KFOG still streams on the net so everyone can tune in, well if you have a computer and if you have a connection. I guess that's not everyone..

Some of the story of the changes at KITS are now up at my radio page. and Sam I don't have any bad memories. It has all been fun.
