How ESPN covered the breaking news about Kobe. Charges: sexual assult on a 19 year old woman.

"Will he miss any games because of the trial?"

"How is this going to impact his sponsors?"

Yea that's important. Like he has an ankle sprain or something...

The coverage is all on the same theme. What a great guy, what will happen to him? How will it affect him? What does his family say? What about his job?

What about her? How hard it must be to go to the police knowing you are about to start a VERY public event.

And what's this about having a good reputation? Maybe he is a great guy and didn't do anything wrong his whole life. I don't know anything about him being good or bad. But in the world of pro athletes all you have to do is nothing to achive a good reputation.

However...

I have a friend who was wrongly accused of this same type of thing. It never made it to trial it was all made up by the woman. A few years later his lawyer got a call from another lawyer who had a client in jail on the same charges from the same woman. Same Thing.

It happens.
