The Sacramento Mile was great. Here is the deal, take a 1 mile dirt horse race track, pack down the dirt, add motorcycles. Big Fun. The main event had more that one pass for the lead per lap, as 2 riders pulled away and drafted each other the whole race. In the single class, dominated by the amazing do it all Honda 450, there were races for position all the way down the pack.

As the article says everyone cheered for Jennifer Snyder as she won her main event. She spanked the boys fair and square. The announcer had everyone sing Happy Birthday. She had a pretty big crash last year, rods in her legs and all that, now she has that "racers limp" but she rides that bike hard.

It also was the first time a Suzuki made it to the top 3 in the big bike class.

Is it the end of the Sacramento Mile? I don't think so. I bet the AMA series will race there in 04.
