Rancho Ricardo...up and back for a sandwich, and Tule Elk
Had a quick up and back trip today to Rancho Ricardo in Clearlake to drop off some slate floor tile. Yes the shack is gonna be lookin good by the end of March.
It was close to 80 up there, and was a beautiful day, but I had to head back almost as soon as I got there. I did have time to stop at Granzella's. Always time to stop off there. It's in Williams at Hy. 20 and I-5. Prosciutto and salami on rye 2 diet Pepsi's and a bag of garlic roasted almonds.
A nice treat on the way home the Elk were out by the roaside pond they are building for them.
There are a heard of Tule Elk now in Lake County thanks to the work of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, the BLM, and more. They bought an old ranch and cleaned up the area, and if you are lucky you can stop by the side of the road on Hy. 20 west of Hy. 16. and see them coming down for a drink of water or just typical Elk chillin'. Word to the Elk...
