The Raiders are playing better, but still lost. The games are fun. I sit with a great group. It's good to see them a few times a month. One couple brought their new baby to her first game. All wrapped up in pink as it was a little chilly Sunday afternoon.
If everybody stays healthy we're looking good for next year. The team really changed for 2004 with all new coaches and lots of new players and now a new QB. They are playing much better now, but it's too late in the season to make the playoffs. 2 more home games and that'll be it. Some of my friends assume going to a game and having them lose is awful, not at all. It is more fun when they win, but live NFL is fun to watch and the people I sit with are all friends.
After the game I went to El Huarache Azteca on International blvd in Oakland. It is near one of my favorite restaurants, The Otaez Mexicatessan. (order any seafood dish)
We ordered a quesadilla, a 2 tamale chicken dinner and a Cuban sandwich. I wanted a bowl of menudo, but was told no they didn't have it. It was on the special board, but maybe they ran out. The tamales were ordered "not hot" as my dinner guest does not like spicy. The waitress said the tamales were sweet like chocolate. Huh? Chocolate tamales? There was some english/spanish translations problems going on while we ordered. I wasn't sure what we were going to get.
The food came. The Cuban sandwich was fantastic! The quesadilla was pretty good, the chips were so so, and the single chocolate tamale was not hot!
This review pretty much covers the place.
