The Rolling Stones "We're Helping! We're Helping!" @ $3.40 a minute

says here:

The A Bigger Bang Tour will also offer fans a way to get directly involved by making their own contributions to the American Red Cross at the local concert venues throughout the tour.

"We wanted to reach out and offer our help to those whose lives have been devastated by Katrina. We hope that our gift will provide vital services and necessities to the families affected to help them rebuild their lives"; said the Rolling Stones.

I'm tempted to do one of those "priceless" takeoffs, but won't.

Stones at Madison Sq. Garden

seats aprox. 15,000
ticket price around $454 a ticket
approx. take from the show $6,810,000
time of show 140 minutes
cost per minute for fans $3.24

Asking your fans to donate to the Red Cross at your show where you yoinked close to 7 million (including t-shirt etc sales), well um, a good thing for sure, and I guess if fans can drop that much per ticket they can pay a little more but still...

priceless! (ooh I said I wasn't going to do that, sorry)

Yes I know they donated 1 Million dollars.

Hey that's 20 minutes of last night's show!

I sent money to Barry Manilow tonight.
