About 2 years ago evil doers at Yahoo decided (without telling anyone) to
change your Photo service. You could upload and share photos but not
fullsize photos. If you wanted to get your fullsize photos back you had to
pay money and upgrade your Yahoo account. Waa!? They were using your
content to market upgrades to you to get content you owned, or thought you
did. Look here.
Suck Ass.
There was no notice given to Yahoo members and you were screwed.
Yahoo says:
Can I download and save my photos back to my hard drive?
Yes. You can download photos back to your hard drive in several ways:
You can click the "Download" button when viewing the screen-sized image.
Or you can download photos by right-clicking with your mouse and selecting
"Save As." Select the directory to download the photo into, and click
"Save."
Note: Only SBC Yahoo! and BT Yahoo! users can download their original,
high-resolution photos that they uploaded to their Yahoo! Photos accounts.
To do this, go to the Photo Detail page and click the "Download" button.
You could get around it by gettng a trial membership free for 30 days, downloading
your photos, then deciding you had no use for Yahoo Plus and cancel.
But now there is a page that will let you enter your Yahoo photo album url
(if it is public, if it isn't just make it) and it will show you
thumbnails that link to your full size files, click, view, save, done.
I don't use Yahoo for anything anymore, but used to. Got back some good stuff using this guys page and info. Pass it on Brother...
