Jack London and the USCG

A nice shot taken from the foot of Broadway at Jack London Square Oakland, CA.

A statue of Jack London stands in the foreground while the Coast Guard Cutter Sockeye, homeported in Bodega Bay, is moored to a pier in Jack London Square, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009. The Sockeye is one of four 87-foot patrol boats assigned to Sector San Francisco. The Sockeye, along with the Tern, Pike, and Hawksbill perform all of the Coast Guard's missions in and around the San Francisco Bay. Coast Guard photo/ Petty Officer Pamela J. Manns
