name: Doug
subj: Great Site - from an old Santa Clara kid.
message: Graduated in 1985 from Wilcox High in Santa Clara, my haunts were: One
Step (my best friend was the buff crew cut bouncer with the black leather
jacket), Oasis, and later Ajax. I've never been to a club in S.F. I really came
of age during the modern rock era of Live 105. My youth would have been less
with out it. You were my favorite DJ (I have my Big Rick button in the desk
drawer right now still! lol).
I found your site because I was looking for Live 105 playlists and thought
someone might have them online (I've got 1989).
Say, I was wondering...what mondern rock songs do you like the best - the ones
that you used to play? I had to ask, thanks. If time is short it's not
important.
Thanks,
Doug
p.s. Portland, Oregon radio is awful. Shameful. The "80's" station is horrid.
Were they listening?! Pease mount a coup Big Rick...

Wow Doug those were some fun clubs. One Step boooked some great shows. I remember seeing the Dickies there and many other bands. The Big Rick button was kind of cool, it had a laughing Buddah with biker sunglasses throwing the peace sign.
All these 80's music stations play crap. They miss all the cool songs that made the great music from the times and think all they have to do is play the Billboard hits from each year. Quarterflash? uhh no. Me, Steve Masters, and Richard Sands, oh maybe Spud (but he would have to be deprogrammed) could make a ruler 80's station here in SF. How do I know? Because we already did!
