House Of 1000 Corpses



Ok I really don't like movies. They almost all are boring and while I am at the movies my mind wanders to thinking about other things I could be doing or I fall asleep. But I love a good gory horror flick. Always have.



"House" is a Rob Zombie movie. He is a musician by day and well I guess he is a horror movie maker. This movie has been delayed for a few years and Rob had to edit it down to get in in the theatres. It is truly a gory twisted film. It is exactly like a new 70's vintage horror film. And that is a good thing well if you like 70 horror films.



It starts out with a group of crazy kids lost in the country, then it gets dark, then they have car trouble and up at a creepy house. Wait this sounds like Rocky Horror Picture Show. Well it is kinda like that. But it gets creepy once they are at the house. The movie starts to spin out of control and the very last 20 minutes is crazy. There are a couple of story lines that don't get developed, more likely due to the movie being cleaned up for the censors.





Karen Black is great as the crazy mom in the family. It is nice to see her on the big screen again.





The young daughter in daisy duke shorts is Rob's girlfriend.



The soundtrack includes some Ramones and Rob Zombie and Lionel Ritchie doing "Brickhouse." Pretty damn cool.



I guess most critics don't like the film but I did. I give it 3 stars out of 4.
