Air America next: Philadelphia, Columbia, S.C., and Jackson, Miss.

Dan Frost reports in the sfgate.com DAILY DIGEST (scroll down a little)

From these reports it looks like Inner City and Air America are working out some deals in all the Inner City markets.

How this works is Inner City is not selling stations to Air America. The first reports about AA buying stations across the country was wrong. They are negotiating for airtime. Is AA paying Inner City for the use of their airwaves? Probably.

Inner City Media Corporation is the holding company for ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., founded in 1971 is the largest privately-held radio broadcasting company in the United States that primarily targets African-Americans. The Company owns and operates 18 radio stations in six markets:

New York WBLS -FM, (WLIB -AM currently Air America)

Columbia, SC WWDM -FM, WMFX -FM, WARQ -FM, WHXT-FM, WZMJ-FM, WOIC-AM (unknown will be Air America)

Ft Lauderdale, FL WSRF -AM
