Bay Area radio speculation based on no facts at all

So KSJO lost their East Bay booster. At one time the strategy for KSJO was to use these boosters (they used more than one) to get their signal around from the East Bay to down near Salinas. Now they just broadcast on 92.3 in San Jose. In that south bay Clear Channel group there are also 2 other rock stations. KCNL and the Fox.

Is giving up the East Bay booster a sign that KSJO's days as a rock station are coming to an end? Would CC take the signal and go Spanish? Would they move KSJO to another frequency?

The KCNL station that CC runs is really owned by Chase Communications. Some say Chase is just a way to get around the ownership laws on the books. CC runs, programs, markets, and sells time on Chase stations.

If the FCC were to say that is a no no and they had to sell KCNL what would happen?

Would CC in San Jose have 2 rock stations? The FOX and KSJO? maybe they would have a Spanish FM and a rock station, maybe some commbined FOX and current rock mix.

This we know. KSJO lost their signal in the East Bay. Their ratings have been a little soft. The big plan of the boosters north and south making the KSJO empire signal is long gone.

Somebody is going to put an FM Spanish station on the air in SJ and soon.

And Then There Is This:

Did a top sales manager at the San Francisco Infinity radio group leave last week because he is now part of "Three Point Media" who just closed on the purchase of KPTI 92.7, now KBTB. Were there layoffs at KBTB? Is there a change in that format coming this week?

I dunno, I have no facts on this, all rumors.
