Bono and Pavarotti team up again
Bono and Pavarotti team up again:
U2's Bono will soon be heard together again with opera superstar Luciano Pavarotti on the B-side of the next U2 single.
The dynamic duo will be heard singing 'Ava Maria' on the B-side of 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own'. Bono and Pavarotti performed the song together at the 2003 Pavarotti and Friends concert in Italy.
This is the second time the union has happened. In 1996, U2 under the name Passengers recorded 'Miss Sarajevo' with Pavarotti.
The single will also include a remix of 'Vertigo' by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
A DVD version of the single will feature a performance of 'Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own' from U2's Dublin studio and footage of Reznor working on his remix.
Formats for the single are:
CD1
1. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own - radio edit
2. Vertigo - Redanka Power Mix
CD2
1. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own - radio edit
2. Ave Maria - Jacknife Lee Mix
3. Fast Cars - Jacknife Lee Mix
DVD single

2. Vertigo - video
3. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own - audio

-----------
I continue to love the new U2 cd. One of the best of 04 and one of their best ever. The tour should be great. Local shows? Rumors are early May Oakland Arena (indoors) then 2 dates in Nov. at HP in San Jose. The May dates might be at Shoreline. I heard that rumor a few months ago, but haven't heard it lately.
