favorites of 2004

At KFOG we asked listeners to send in favorites of 2004. Here are mine.

Favorite song: Wheat "I Met a Girl". I love the sound of fresh American bands, always have. It's impossibile to pick one song, but there it is.

Favorite album: U2 "HTDAAB" Shouldn't U2 be washed up by now? This CD is so good, and has such a great sonic sound I play it all the time. I love it, maybe their best ever.

runner up: The Mooney Suzuki "Alive and Amplified" a really fun rock and roll album from this awesome NYC band. Too bad the morons at the record company killed it by picking the worst song on the cd for the single. Every song is better than the over produced title track. Best song on the cd? "New York Girls".

Favorite TV show: This is easy The Travel Channel's World Poker Tour. The best 2 hours on the boob tube. Plus it helped me pick up 200 bucks at my New Years Eve party. Wait, can I say that?!

runner up: Adult Swim. I'm a big fan of Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law.

Favorite movie: I don't go to movies much. How about The Passion of the Christ or House Of Flying Daggers. That's all I can remember seeing in 2004. I did see Kill Bill 1 on tv in 2004, but since it came out in 03 I guess it doesn't count. I loved it. Haven't see K.B.2. See told you I don't go to movies much.

Favorite concert: This is easy ZZ Top at Kononcti. Best. Band. Ever. They are coming back there this summer. I'm there.

runner up: Coachella The whole thing was fun and Kraftwerk were mind blowing good. The review at the link says it all.
