I signed up for Yahoo Plus, a free 30 day trial, then got all my files from My Yahoo, exported my Yahoo emails (inbox, saved, sent) to my hard disk, and cancelled. I still have my regular non upgraded Yahoo account.

Yahoo Plus: got photos, email and cancelled
So Yahoo holds your full size photos after you upload them to your My Yahoo Photos page. They want you to upgrade your service to get them back. I posted about it.
