My understanding is that Bill Bartels and one other engineer was let go. That leaves Kelly and Erik as the only "engineers" for a three station group. Knowing the expertise of the remaining engineers and the staff size, San Francisco is seriously understaffed for engineers. There is no way that they will be able to keep thier head above water. These are not "back office" cuts.
On top of that, rumor has it that that almost everyone took a salary cut. Seems like consolidation and debt service has struck another blow to broadcasting.
