why I live in Oakland

Part of the reason is the great East Bay Parks. Just a short drive from anywhere in the city puts you in a place like Mac Donald Staging Area in Redwood Regional Park off Redwood road.

I did about a 3 mile hike today and saw a big group of horse riders. They were camping at Bort Meadow in Anthony Chabot Regional Park and riding all over the Chabot, Redwood, and Tilden parks. Pretty cool. I stopped and chatted a few up.

Like Ice Cube said "it was a good day." Even for the Cathartes aura flying overhead.
