With the Pride Parade in San Francisco this is a good time to dump stereotypes. I mean the whole point (well one of them) is to realize that we are everywhere. We are part of the mix. We work with you, and live in your community.
So true.
This weekend there will be gay and straight, white and black. Young and old, first timers and long timers.
People with cultural backgrounds from all over the world will show up. Just like how people from all over the world show up at most of the big Bay Area events.
They will get there early and stay late, and have been looking forward to this for a long time.
All making the trip to the North Bay to see the Dodge/ Save Mart 350.
Yes, I'm a NASCAR fan. I've felt this way most of my life. When I meet new people I have to be careful with them to see if I should mention it. Sometimes I can tell if they are because of stickers they have on their car. I have the number 7 because I like Robbie Gordon. I used to have 31, but he changed numbers.
Please don't stereotype me. But I bet you do, if only a little.
Hey that's allright. If you think we are all the same then you've probably never been to the race at Infineon. If you had you'd see how diverse we are.
If you still think I'm a 'Neck for liking NASCAR, I don't really care! Whee it's fun!
Boogity Boogity Boogity!
