Well I figured the best place to see the game was at Rickys, Sports Illustrated voted it 2nd best in the country, they have a bartender that makes a great michelada, it's right down 580 from me and it's the biggest game of the year, so off I went.
Inside were more Giants fans than Pats fans and a full house of people who like me really just wanted to see a good game. And that it was.
When the Pats ran that big blitz I yelled "max blitz wide open!" I knew Eli would have a shot at getting somebody matched up one on one with all those guys coming on the blitz if he had time. He had just enough and found the td in the corner. Game over, well after a few bombs thrown to "why bother to catch the ball we're going to lose anyway" Randy Moss.
That was a great game, lots of tension wondering if the undefeated Pats would "come alive" and start putting points on the board. And we were also waiting for the Giants to do something about scoring more than that first field goal.
Bill "just a sec" Belichick seems like a giant asterisk hole. He probably loves having that reputation, but whatever Bill. Hey show some class at the end of the game and wait for it to be over before you leave the field. I dislike him very much. He is a great coach, maybe he shouldn't have worn that red hoodie.
I bet he destroys the video tape of this game too.
I'm listening to Brady right now, he is a classy guy.
Now Strahan is talking. He's the best! I love this guy. He wrote a book that came out last year.
I bet the Pats wish they hadn't called that full blitz at the end of the game.
Oh did you see Randy Moss jump in the air and fight for the football on the last 2 plays of the game?
Me neither.
That's the Randy I saw the last few years in the Biggity Biggity O. Not exactly Mr. Try Hard.
Tom Petty was good. The usual hyper jump in the air wave your hands kids were sent out on the field for the music. That isn't exactly his fan base you know. But they did a good job of jumping around. Hyper sugar coated leaders of tomorrow.
Best commercial by far according to the house at Rickys was Shaq on a horse. I forgot what it was for, some water drink maybe, but everybody liked it. The others -eh- so so reaction. The Shaq one killed it.
Anyway the game reminded me of the Bengals 49ers Superbowl.
In that one I had my heart in it, was living in Glen Park, and a house full of friends went nuts when the 49ers got that last touchdown to win it.
Montana to Taylor, Touchdown! Woo Hoo!
Today was woo hoo too. But my heart wasn't in it for either team I just watched as a football fan. It was one of the best ever.
Football rules.
