I'm not into the holidays. Not because I don't like them. I do. I think it is really a great time of year, the lights, and sights and all.
But it all goes to remind me of my family and the fun we had. Now both parents are gone, and the rest are out of touch and/or far away.
I know some people have parents and or relatives who drive them nuts at the holiday season. Enjoy it. Be as civil as you can and be amused by their odd ways. Sometime all too soon you'll miss them.
My big in-law side of the family is coming over Saturday, so Christmas Day will be fun. And maybe we are hosting a poker party New Years Eve? I dunno
Working in radio is kind of odd sometmes. No matter what you have to be "up" on the radio. Not fake or "Top 40" up, just you know sharp, and on top of things. You can't just mope around at work. So if I am ever a little down at the holidays I look forward to going to work. It is a fun job and a good distraction. I wouldn't mind being on the air this year. Sometimes I think I concentrate too much on my job.
good news:
My Mac is back! Details soon!
I'm gonna race the Hollister National! Am I ready, in shape and is the mighty 380 KTM cross country rocket bike prepped? Err no not quite, but I'm going to enter anyway!
Something to look forward to.
