"Air America Radio had a brief run in L.A. last year on KBLA-AM, but the Multicultural Radio-owned station dropped the network's programming after only a few weeks on the air due to a financial dispute between Multicultural owner Arthur Liu and Air America management. Now comes official word that the network's lineup of liberal-themed talkers - including Al Franken, Randi Rhodes and Janeane Garafolo - will join Jones Radio Networks Ed Schultz on KXTA-AM/L.A., which will adopt the new call letters KTLK and the 'K-Talk' handle upon its Feb. 3 debut. Clear Channel Traffic VP John Quinlan, a 20-year L.A. radio veteran, will serve as KTLK's Station Manager."
"The KTLK calls are presently in use at Clear Channel liberal talker 'Talk 1340' in Santa Barbara, CA, so look for CC to move those calls to L.A. and for its Santa Barbara station to take on different call letters of its own."
